For new customers it will take anywhere from 2-4 days for your domain name to resolve on InterBax's servers (see DNS settings below). During this delay, you will need to use a combination of your IP number and domain name to access your site. Once your domain name is successfully resolving to your account on InterBax, you can simply use www.yourdomain.com to reach your site files. You should use the IP number that was emailed to you when your account was first set up. The format should be the following: http://205.214.69.33/~interbax.net/
Notice the "~" before the domain name. Of course you will want to replace the IP number and domain name above with your own information. If you have a dedicated IP, you will only need to enter the IP address.
The username and password are included in the welcoming email that you received when you first opened an account. These will be used to access your control panel as well as FTP. You can change your password at any time through the control panel. If you would like to change your username, you will need to contact our support department.
Domain Name Server (DNS) settings:
Your "Name Server Settings" must be updated to point to your account on InterBax. If you had InterBax register your domain name for you, then your name server settings have already been updated for you. If you already had a domain name before signing up with InterBax, then you will need to change the DNS settings yourself.
You originally purchased your domain name from a registrar, and this registrar is where your current DNS settings reside. That is, unless you transferred your domain name to an alternate registrar, in which case, you would control your DNS settings from there. Simply go to your domain registrar's web site, and look around for links, which point to something like, domain manager, manage domain, or something of that administrative nature. Once you've accessed the "management interface" of your domain name, look for a setting, which says "change or manage DNS settings" or "change host settings". Included in the welcoming email from InterBax were the name servers that you should be using. Most likely they are:
ns1.interbax.net 216.7.173.36
ns2.interbax.net 216.7.173.37Make these your primary and secondary name servers for your domain. Be aware that it could take up to four days for your domain name server information to change worldwide. During this time your domain name will not point to your account on InterBax.
If you are not sure who your registrar is or are having trouble changing your name server settings, please contact support@interbax.net and we will be glad to assist you.
You can access the control panel at: https://duke.interbax.net:8446/
The username will be "yourdomain.com" (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name).
